                              -Lakes (lake shore)

  • High tidal ranges allow waves to reach the shore.
  • Lower tidal ranges produce deprossosition at a smaller elevation interval.
  • The tidal range is influenced by the size & shape of the coastline. 
  • Cliffs coasts give dispersed energy.
  • High clifs breaks wave energy.
  • Air and water cracks in the rock, forcing the rock apart, breaking it down.

Coast Categories 
  • A cliffed coast/abrasion coast = marine action has produced steep declivities known as cliffs.
  • A flat coast =The land gradually descends into the sea.
  • A graded shoreline = wind and water action has produced a flat and straight coastline.
